GRATIA., rev. crowned Pre-Union cruciform shields, six strings to Irish harp, rose at centre, emblematic sceptres in angles, date either side of top crown, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, .MAG BR.FRA ET.HIB REG., edge, milled (Schneider 525; Farey 0460 S; EGC 458 R2; MCE.209; S.3562). Lustrous tone with original mint bloom and mirrored fields, an exceptional well struck up specimen especially in the portrait and reverse heraldry, first year of issue in the Pre-Union period of this reign, graded by NGC as MS62.
