Anne (1702-14), gold Five Guineas, 1706, Post-Union type, first draped bust left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, ANNA. DEI. GRATIA. rev. crowned emblematic Post-Union cruciform shields, rose at centre, emblematic sceptres in angles, date either side of top crown, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, .MAG. BRI.FR. ET.HIB. REG. edge inscribed in raised letters of inverted orientation to obverse, +DECVS. ET. TVTAMEN ANNO. REGNI. QVINTO. (Schneider 529; M.C.E. 200; S.3566). Has been lightly burnished on the bust, with a rim striking flaw on obverse, with full underlying brilliance and typical yellow gold colour as usually seen with the Post-Union 1706 issue, otherwise practically as struck and a very desirable coin.
