Anne (1702-14), silver Post-Union Halfcrown, 1708, second draped bust left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, ANNA.DEI. GRATIA. rev. Post-Union crowned cruciform shields, garter star at centre, date either side of top crown, .MAG BRI. FR ET. HIB REG. edge inscribed in raised letters, .+. DECVS. ET. TVTAMEN. ANNO. REGNI. SEPTIMO, weight 15.05g (Bull 1370; ESC 577; S.3604). Attractively toned, a little weak on high points of hair, otherwise extremely fine, reverse good extremely fine and very pleasing, has been graded and slabbed by NGC as MS63, tying for the second highest graded with two other examples, the finest is only one point higher.
