Pre-Union crowned cruciform shields, garter star at centre, date either side of top crown, .MAG BRI. FR ET. HIB REG. edge inscribed in raised letters, * DECVS* ET* TVTAMEN* ANNO* REGNI* OCTAVO*, weight 14.93g (Bull 1384 R3; ESC 580 R3; S.3605). Toned with striationsof light flan adjustment marks on both sides, otherwise slightly off-centre on obverse, nearly very fine and very rare.
