Anne (1702-14), gold Two Guineas, 1709, Post-Union type, draped bust left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, ANNA. DEI. GRATIA., rev. crowned emblematic Post-Union cruciform narrow shields, garter star at center, emblematic sceptres in angles, date either side of top crown, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, .MAG BRI.FR ET.HIB REG., weight 16.73g (Schneider -; M.C.E. 205; S.3569). Toned, with a few light black flecks both sides, one tiny nick below bust and a very short scratch in field below Queen's name, slight doubling of Queen's profile in the striking, otherwise good very fine to almost extremely fine, no example present in the Schneider Collection, the first year of the denomination in this reign with a great provenance, has been graded and slabbed by NGC as AU58 which is the second finest graded at this service.
