Augustus (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), Silver Denarius. Mint of Lugdunum, struck 15-13 B.C. DIVI F - AVGVSTVS, bare head of Augustus facing right, rev. [I]MP - X, Apollo in long drapery standing left, holding a plectrum and a lyre, ACT in exergue, 3.70g, 4h (BMC 461; RIC 171a). An attractive coin, struck on an oblong flan but with minimal loss, with a fine portrait of Augustus and beautiful iridescent toning to both obverse and reverse, about extremely fine.
