Charles I (1625-49), silver Halfcrown, lightweight issue (14th August - 7th September 1626), group 1, armoured King on horseback left, sword raised above head, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding, initial mark cross calvary both sides (1625-26), CAROLVS D; G; MAG; BRI; FRA; ET HI; REX, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, .CHRISTO. AVSPICE. REGNO.., weight 12.93g (Bull 46L/2; Brooker -; N.2202; S.2767 and note). Toned, some weakness to strike, graded by NGC as VF30, very rare.
