Charles I (1625-49), copper Maltravers Farthing, "Peck" type 3b (1634-36), designed by Nicholas Briot, crown over crossed sceptres within beaded circle, Latin legend and outer beaded border surrounding both sides, initial mark bell both sides, CAROLVS: D: G: MAG: BRIT, rev. crowned bird faced harp with six strings, .FRAN. ET. HIB. REX. weight 0.63g (Peck 234; S.3198). Toned, struck a little off-centre otherwise extremely fine.
