Charles I (1625-49), copper Maltravers Farthing, "Peck" type 3c (1634-36), designed by Nicholas Briot, crown over crossed sceptres within beaded circle, Latin legend and outer beaded border surrounding both sides, initial mark harp, CAROLVS. D; G; MAG; BRIT;, rev. crowned bird faced harp with six strings, terminal mark billet .FRAN; ET. HIB; REX. weight 0.62g (Peck 234; S.3199). Toned, struck a little off-centre otherwise almost extremely fine.
