GRATIA, rev. crowned cruciform shields, sceptres in angles, four interlinked Cs at centre, date either side of top crown, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, .MAG. BR. FRA. ET. HIB REX., weight 8.13g (Schneider -; MCE 83; S.3345). Well worn but all readable, poor to fine but a rare issue from the Royal African Company of England, we note no example of this date present in the famous Schneider Collection.
