Cilicia, Mallos, c.385-375 BC, silver Stater, Athena, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet and long chiton, seated left, holding grounded spear in right hand, left arm resting on shield at propped against her side; olive tree to right, rev. Hermes, nude but for cloak tied at his neck and holding long kerykeion in right hand, standing facing beside Aphrodite, wearing long chiton and leaning half-left on pedestal to right, placing right hand on back of Hermes, MAΛ to right, 22mm, 10.41 g, 1h (Casabonne Type 12; SNG BN 404 = de Luynes 2778, same dies; SNG Levante 155; BMC 26; Traité II 1410). Attractively toned, with some iridescence, slight die wear, good very fine.
