Edward IV, first reign (1461-70), silver long cross Penny, heavy coinage (1461-64), London Mint, facing crowned bust, annulet either side of neck, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding both sides, initial mark rose, EDWARD DI GRA REX ANGL, rev. long cross pattee, trio of pellets in each angle, CIVI TAS LOn DOn, weight 0.92g (Blunt and Whitton IV, plate II No.7; N.1541; S.1986). Toned with an imposing portrait, a bold to good very fine and extremely rare.
