Edward the Confessor (1042-66), silver Penny, facing bust / small cross type (1062-65), Wareham Mint, Moneyer Sideman, facing crowned bust to top of coin, legend commences upper right, EADPARD RE:, rev. small cross pattée, inner circle and legend surrounding, +SIDEMAN PERHA, weight 1.06g (SCBI -; BMC type XIII; N.830; S.1183). Dark tone, some weakness in legend but all readable, slightly bent, otherwise a bold very fine and extremely rare.
