Edward VIII (January to December 1936), Modern Fantasy Sovereign sized pattern, dated 1937, struck in nine carat gold plated silver by the Great American Coin Company, bare head left, PM raised in field below, legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARD VIII : D: G: BR: OMN: REX: F: D: ND: IMP:, rev. struck en medaille, St George slaying dragon with lance, date in exergue, PM to upper right, edge milled and with hall marks for nine carat gold at 6 o'clock area, diameter 20mm, weight 6.34g (Giordano FC48). Toned a crude rendition of what the Sovereign could have been, made for collectors not able to afford the million pound worth original genuine coin, good extremely fine.
