Elizabeth I (1558-1603), silver Sixpence, third and fourth issue (1561-77), 1570, with 7 struck over 0, crowned bust left, intermediate bust type 4B, rose behind head, Latin legend with linear and beaded circles surrounding both sides, initial mark castle both sides, struck over coronet on the reverse, ELIZABETH: D;G; ANG; FR; ET. HI; REGINA, rev. long cross fourchee over quartered shield of arms, date above, POSVI DEV; AD IVTORE M. MEV; weight 2.54g (N.1997; S.2562). Lightly toned, worn though with a clear date with the unpublished overstrike clear, fair and extremely rare.
