Elizabeth I (1558-1603), silver Crown, ornate crowned bust left, holding orb and sceptre, crown breaks inner beaded circle, initial mark 1 (1601), Latin legend and beaded border surrounding, ELIZABETH: D: G: ANG: FRA: ET: HIBER: REGINA:1:, sceptre points to end of I in legend, rev. long cross fourchée under quartered shield of arms, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding, :1: POSVI: DEVM: AD IVTORE M: MEVM:, colon after first word distant from fleur below, weight 29.74g (Cooper dies D/6; N.2012; S.2582). A little uneven in shape at bottom of obverse, otherwise a bold fine to almost very fine with a stronger reverse.
