Elizabeth I (1558-1603), silver Groat, second issue (1560-61), crowned bust left, wire line and beaded inner circle, legend and outer beaded circle surrounding, initial mark martlet both sides, ELIZABETH; D; G; AN; FR; ET HI; REGINA, rev. long cross fourchee over quartered shield of arms, POSVI DEV; AD IVTORE M: MEV; weight 2.17g (N.1986; S.2556). Toned, a little weakly struck in parts with some ghosting of reverse shield outline onto obverse, with a good portrait, otherwise good very fine and rare.
