Elizabeth I Halfpenny, Sixth issue, mm. crescent, issued around time of Armada

Elizabeth I (1558-1603), silver Halfpenny, sixth issue (1582-1600), Tower Mint London, portcullis with chains, initial mark crescent (1587-89) above, rev. long cross fourchee, three pellets in each angle, outer beaded border both sides, weight 0.31g (Withers 1f; N.2018; S.2581). Toned about very fine.
