George II (1727-60), gold Guinea, 1727, first young laureate head left, legend small lettering both sides of coin, GEORGIVS.II. DEI.GRATIA., rev. first crowned quartered large shield of arms, date either side of crown, M.B.F. ET. H. REX. F.D. B.ET. L. D. S. R. I. A. T ET. E. weight 8.34g (MCE 297; S.3670). Toned with some red colour around legend, with a good facial portrait otherwise practically extremely fine and extremely rare.
