George III (1760-1820), gold Guinea, 1761, first laureate head right, three leaves at top of wreath, legend GEORGIVS. III. DEI. GRATIA. toothed border around rim both sides, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, date either side of crown, legend M.B.F.ET.H. REX. F.D.B. ET.L.D.S.R.I.A.T ET.E., weight 8.33g (Schneider 606; Bull EGC 672 R6; Farey 1025 ER; MCE 367; S.3725). Toned though perhaps once cleaned, some smoothing evident on obverse with associated surface marks and light adjustment marks, otherwise about very fine and extremely rare.
