George III (1760-1820), gold Guinea, 1775, fourth laureate head right, GEORGIVS .III DEI.GRATIA., rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, date either side of crown, abbreviated Latin legend surrounding, M.B.F. ET. H. REX. F.D. B.ET. L. D. S. R. I. A. T ET. E., edge reeded, weight 8.35g (Schneider -; Farey 1150; EGC 691; MCE 380; S.3728). Perhaps once cleaned with light overtone, surface marks, good very fine.
