George III (1760-1820), gold Sovereign, 1820, short date figure arrangement under second laureate head right, finer engraved hair, Latin legend and border surrounding, GEORGIUS III D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D:, rev. St. George and the Dragon right with broken lance, garter surrounding with Old French motto, HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE, edge milled (Marsh 4A; M.C.E. 466; Bentley 388; S.3785C). Lightly hairlined both sides with some tiny scuffs evident, strong residual mint lustre, minor toning on reverse peripheries, graded by NGC as MS60 and a very rare variety.
