Ireland, George III (1760-1820), "Puffin head" countermark on reverse of silver Bank Token of Three Shillings, 1813, laureate head right, legend GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA REX, rev. puffin head countermark supine above four line inscription, BANK / TOKEN / 3 SHILL. / 1813, all within wreath of oak and laurel, weight 14.61g (Brunk 55070). A few nicks, countermark very clear, toned very fine and extremely rare, only the second the cataloguer has ever handled in near three decades of dealing.
