George IV (1820-30), silver Halfcrown, 1820, first laureate head left, raised B.P. below neck for engraver and designer Benedetto Pistrucci, Latin legend surrounding differently spaced to currency version, GEORGIUS IIII D:G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D: rev. inverted die axis, crowned garnished quartered shield of arms, rose below, shamrocks to right with raised W W and P at centre of each, thistle to left with seven fronds to left side of left leaf, ANNO and 1820 to either side below, edge milled, weight 14.14g (ESC 628; Bull 2357; Davies 170; S.3807). Toned, a few small digs around cheek, otherwise extremely fine, reverse good extremely fine.
