George IV (1820-1830), Proof silver Halfcrown, 1821, engraved by Benedetto Pistrucci, laureate head left, initials B.P. below, legend GEORGIUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D: toothed border around rim both sides, rev. first crowned quartered shield of arms, with an escutcheon of the Arms of Hanover, heavier garnishing, emblems and date surrounding, edge milled (Bull 2363; ESC 632 R2; S.3807). Streaky steel grey toning, both sides, less streaky on reverse, good extremely fine, has been graded and slabbed by NGC as PF62.
