James I (1603-25), gold Crown of Five Shillings, struck in 22 carat "Crown" gold, second coinage (1604-19), first crowned bust right within beaded circles and legend, initial mark lis (1604-05), .IACOBVS; D; G; MAG; BRI; FRA; ET; HI; REX., rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, I to left of crown, R to right, .HENRICVS. ROSAS. REGNA. IACOBVS, weight 2.49g (Schneider 43; N.2089; S.2624). Struck on a broad flan with the obverse lightly pitted, weak in parts, reverse much better with a nice lustre, about very fine / very fine.
