James II gold Touch Piece for repelling the King's Evil, piercing has been plugged

James II (1685-88), gold Touch-Piece, undated, three masted ship "The Sovereign of the Seas" at full sail left, legend and outer toothed border with no stop after FR surrounding, IACO. II. D. G. M. B. FR ET. HI. REX, rev. St Michael slaying the dragon with a lance, legend and outer toothed border surrounding, SOLI. DEO. GLORIA, weight 1.88g (Woolf O2/R2). Toned with some residual deposit in lettering of legend, original piercing has been very skilfully plugged otherwise very fine.
