Julius Caesar, silver Denarius, Rome, 44 B.C., struck by P. SEPVLLIVS MACER, wreathed head of Ceasar right, CAESAR DICT. PREPETVTO, rev. [P. SEPVLLIVS] MACER, Venus standing left, holding Victory in right hand, and sceptre at the base of which a shield, 3.34g, 9h (Cr. 480/10). Attractively toned, the obverse perfectly centred, extremely fine, in NGC holder graded CH AU 4/5 3/5, edge chip.
