Gorgoneion facing, with tongue protruding; surrounded by snakes, rev. bearded head of Herakles facing right, wearing a lion's skin headdress, the neck truncation formed of tow rows of squares, a quadripartite rectangle behind neck; the whole type incuse, 2053g., 9h (Bodenstedt 19.1; SNG von Aulock 1691; BMC 14). Well-centred and good very fine.
