VIRT - EXERC, plan of a Roman camp (?), figure of Sol standing in the centre, raising his right and and holding a globe, a chlamys draped across his shoulder, TS A in exergue, 3.76g., 12h (RIC 68 var. (obverse legend)). With much silvering, extremely fine and very rare, an exceptional example of this enigmatic and popular type, seldom seen in anything approaching this state of preservation.
