Mary (1553-54), silver Groat, crowned bust of Queen left, mint mark pomegranate after first word both sides, legend in abbreviated Latin with annulet stops both sides, MARIA.+. D'. G'. AnG'. FRA'. Z. hIB'. REGI', the Z retrograde, beaded outer border both sides, rev. quartered shield of arms on long cross fourchee, legend surrounding, VERITA S + TEM PORIS FILIA, weight 1.78g (N.1960; S.2492). Lightly toned with a small flan split, some short light parallel light scratches on obverse, very fine.
