Nero (A.D. 54-68), Gold Aureus, mint of Rome, struck A.D. 66-7, IMP NERO CAESAR - AVGVSTVS, bearded and laureate head of Nero facing right, rev. Salus draped and seated left on a throne, holding a patera, SALVS in exergue, 7.34g., 7h (BMC 94; Calicó 445; RIC 66). From the Boscoreale Hoard of 1895, richly toned and with a wonderful portrait, almost extremely fine.
