Richard III (1483-85), silver long cross Penny, type 2b, London Mint, facing crowned bust, legend and beaded borders surrounding both sides, initial mark boars head 2, RICARDx DI GRA REXxx, rev. long cross pattee, trio of pellets in each angle, CIVI TAS LOn DOn, weight 0.48g (N.1684; S.2165). Toned weak in parts and short of flan, the mint mark clearly visible as well as the bottom of the letters LON for mint name, a bold fine and extremely rare, the first we have ever offered for sale and one of only four known.
