Ayyubid, al-Nasir Salah al-Din Yusuf I, Saladin, (AH 564-589 / 1169-93 AD), gold Dinar, al-Qahira, AH 585, two marginal inscriptions, and a central inscription in two lines, on both obverse and reverse, naming the Abbasid caliph al-Nasir, as commander of the faithful in the inner obverse marginal legend, and, on the reverse naming Saladin in the inner marginal legend as, al-'âdil, al malik, al-'âlim, salah al din, and in two lines at the centre, as Yusuf b. Ayyub, ["Joseph" son of "Job"], 4.42g (A 785.2). Edge marks, and probably ex-mount as most are, some double striking, very fine.
