Scotland, Alexander III (1249-86), silver long cross Penny, second coinage (c.1280-86), type Mc, crowned head and sceptre left, within beaded inner circle, legend and outer beaded circle surrounding, +ALEXAND.ER DEI GRA, single punch used for crown, curly tailed R, rev. long cross pattée, pierced mullet of six points in each angle, beaded circles and legend surrounding, REX SCO TOR VM+, weight 1.24g (Burns 25 fig.158; S.5055A). Toned, some ghosting of reverse cross onto obverse, otherwise good very fine.
