Scotland, Alexander III (1249-86), silver long cross Penny, second coinage (c.1280-86), type Mb, crowned head and sceptre left, within beaded inner circle, legend and outer beaded circle surrounding, +ALEXAND.ER DEI GRA, letter Rs have wedge tails, tiny upper pellet between D and E, rev. long cross pattée, pierced mullet of six points in each angle except seven pointed star in upper left quarter, beaded circles and legend surrounding, REX SCO TOR VM+, weight 1.06g (Burns 56B fig.163A; S.5054). Toned, some ghosting of reverse cross onto obverse, otherwise a bold very fine.
