D. G. MAG. BRIT. FRAN. &. HIB. REX., rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, date 1625 above, inner beaded circle legend and outer beaded circle surrounding both sides, legend commences upper right, QVÆ. DEVS. CONIVNXIT. NEMO. SEPARET, weight 2.75g (cf.Burns 4-5 note; S.5543). Toned creased and straightened, a bold fine and very rare initial date for the reign.
