Scotland, Charles II (1649-85), silver Eighth Dollar, 1680, laureate and draped bust left, F in front of drapery presumably for Thomas Falconer, outer beaded circle with legend surrounding, CAROLVS. II. .DEI. GRA., rev. pair of interlinked Cs at centre of crowned cruciform shields, thistles in angles, date either side of top crown, .SCO ANG.FR ET.HIB REX., edge plain, weight 3.25g (Burns 3; S.5622). Toned, struck a little off-centre, good very fine, rare denomination.
