Scotland, James VI (1567-1625), silver Ten Shillings, 1594, Seventh coinage, beaded inner and outer borders both sides, bare headed bust in armour right, legend surrounds IACOBVS 6 DGR SCOTORVM, rev. thistle with three heads, crown above, legend surrounds NEMO ME IMPVNE LACESSIT, 1594, weight 5.93g (SCBI 35 [Scottish], 1256-9; Burns 2, Fig 939; S.5493). Dark rich tone, legends legible with one area of softness at 8 o'clock, reflected on reverse, pleasing portrait well detailed as is the reverse, a bold very fine.
