Scotland, James VI (1567-1625), gold Half Sword and Sceptre Piece of Sixty Scottish Shillings, Eighth Coinage, 1602, crowned Scottish arms, beaded circles and legend surrounding both sides, initial mark pellet in quatrefoil both sides, .IACOBVS. 6. D. G. R. SCOTORVM., rev. sword crossed with sceptre in saltire, crown above, thistle either side, date between stops below, .SALVS. POPVLI. SVPREMA. LEX., weight 2.51g (Burns 3, fig. 957; S.5462). Toned with some lustre, a few black specks both sides, a little uneven around rim otherwise good very fine and a rare date.
