Tiberius (A.D. 14-37), Silver Denarius. Mint of Lugdunum, struck A.D. 14-15. TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS, laureate head facing right, rev. TR POT XVI / IMP VII (in exergue), Tiberius, laureate, holding a laurel-branch and an eagle-tipped sceptre, standing in a slow quadriga right, the horses' heads all turned to right, 3.75g., 1h (RIC 2; BMC 8; C 48). Attractive iridescent toning over residual lustre, extremely fine, a very good example of this rare type.
