Victoria (1837-1901), currency four gold and seven silver coin set, 1887, Golden Jubilee year, in specially commissioned Christmas box by Spink and Son Ltd, Gold Five Pounds at centre, Two Pounds above gold Sovereign, gold Half-Sovereign to lower right and left, silver arranged an alternating sides by size, with Threepence at centre bottom, silver Crown, Double-Florin Arabic 1, Halfcrown, Florin, Shilling, Sixpence withdrawn type, Threepence, all on purple coloured pad, purple silk lid inlay with gold Spink and Son name and address, black exterior to box with angled corners and gold pin-striping to angles, gold lettering at centre in four lines "WISHING YOU / A / HAPPY CHRISTMAS / JUBILEE 1887" (S.3864, 3865, 3866, 3869, 3921, 3923, 3924, 3925, 3926, 3927, 3928, 3931). Attractively toned, some light handling marks and hairlines, otherwise good extremely fine, practically as struck, as presented in box and a nice Christmas present!
