William III (1694-1702), silver Halfcrown, 1696, York Mint, first laureate and draped bust right, lower case y below, legend and toothed border surrounding, GVLIELMVS. III.DEI.GRA, rev. crowned cruciform shields, Lion of Nassau at centre, date either side of top crown, legend surrounding, .MAG. BR.FRA. ET.HIB. REX., weight 15.18g (Bull 1095; ESC 528; S.3486). Toned with some flecking and some of the usual flan adjustment marks both sides, more on the reverse side, otherwise good very fine and with an excellent provenance.
