William IV (1830-37), gold Sovereign, 1832, second bare head right, nose points to second I in legend with flat top ear, W.W. incuse on truncation, GULIELMUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D: toothed border around rim both sides, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms in frame, ANNO 1832 below, weight 8.02g (Bentley 28; Marsh 17; S.3829B). A pleasing example, toned good extremely fine, has been graded and slabbed by NGC as MS62, we note currently that a total of 132 examples of the 1832 Sovereign have been graded across both services of which only 22 pieces are finer.
